According to a report, the number of students in Shenzhen has already crossed 18 thousand and that there would be a substantial increase in this number in the coming years. In order to provide for a better education, people settled in Shenzhen chose to send their kids to Hong Kong for better education and a better prospective future. This very procedure of verifying the identities of these kids, who are way too young to pursue any kind of rules and regulation, becomes quite arduous and sluggish. The manual method of inspecting is a laborious task to be carried out by Inspection points on the borders. The whole process needs to be as quick as possible; else the kids would be late for school.
Challenges
This very procedure of verifying the identities of these kids, who are way too young to pursue any kind of rules and regulation, becomes quite arduous and sluggish.
The manual method of inspecting is a laborious task to be carried out by Inspection points on the borders.
The whole process needs to be as quick as possible; else the kids would be late for school.
Solution The process needs to be smooth and quick as the young kids are too young to follow the complex procedure of documentation. Keeping in mind the needs of this particular young group, the Immigration Inspection Authority of China deployed an automatic and innovative solution for immigration check where easy and quick access could be provided to these kids. After the deployment of the Intelligent Verification System, the authorities deployed Chainways’ C 3000 PDAs at checkpoints to scan the built-in low-frequency badges worn by the kids for a shortened and prompt inspection time from 8-10 seconds previously to 2-3 seconds now.
Effects
The portable and ergonomically designed C 3000 PDA makes it easier for the inspecting officer to verify the documents at a lightning speed and has considerably reduced the inspection time, which improved the immigration efficiency substantially.
The information regarding the kids can easily be documented and made accessible to the authorities in real time with an online backend data system. This could be efficiently used and help improve the safety and security of young kids in case of an emergency.
